72/365 Apparently I Sew When I Can't Sleep

Nightmares woke me around 4am... so, I decided to sew. Kaeson's Trick or Treat bag for Halloween is done!

71/365 It is a Boy!!!

Today in Developmental Biology Class, we injected Potassium Chloride into sea urchins (Echinoderms) .5ml at a time just below the membrane surrounding their mouth (which can be seen in the photo below). After 4ml, my sea urchin excreted sperm, which means he's a boy! Using his sperm and an egg from another person, we were able to watch fertilization and the first cleavage under the microscope. One of the neatest things I've ever seen.

60/365 BC State Park Halloween Trail

Today I went to the Bay City State Park with my mom and Kaeson to go on a Michigan Wildlife Halloween Tour. It was a blast. I would recommend it for anyone with young children. High school theater students dressed up as some of Michigan's wildlife and told stories about the animals along the pumpkin lit trail. A little chilly, but a great time. It ended with treats.

I went to MEIJER after my terrible molecular exam to buy dog food and I saw these cookies. Now, I don't care much for Oreos, and Trav likes them even less, but I couldn't resist buying the first Christmas item I saw for the year, especially since it was only $2.49.
